A Bit About Me
Ashley Christine Smith began her dance training at the early age of 2. She studied all forms of dance and grew up as a competitive dancer in the Dallas and Phoenix areas. Ashley continued her dance training at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles and at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC, along with Chicago’s Lou Conte Dance center, River North Chicago, Visceral Dance Center and The Giordano Dance School in Evanston, IL. After graduating from college, Ashley received a full scholarship to study and perform at the Giordano Dance School in Evanston, IL as a member of the Giordano 3 Company. While living in Chicago, she had the opportunity to perform with numerous Jazz and Contemporary dance companies such as Giordano 3 and Inaside Dance Chicago. She has the privilege to work with many well-known choreographers such as Doug Caldwell, Mandy Moore, Eddie Ocampo, Brian Friedman, Harrison McEldowney, Nick Pupillo, Nan Giordano, Sherry Zunker, Autumn Eckman, Jessica Deahr, Joel Hall, William Gill and countless others. Ashley’s career progressed even further when she landed the incredible opportunity of touring internationally as a professional dancer/performer with DisneyLive!’s “Mickey’s Rockin Road Show”, A Feld Entertainment Production. For five years, Ashley toured internationally and performed in over 25 different countries along the way. After touring, Ashley relocated back to Phoenix, Arizona where she currently teaches all forms of dance across the valley. Her favorite styles to teach and choreograph are Lyrical, Contemporary, and Jazz.
